Course Overview

This 15-minute radiology CME covers acute stroke and perfusion imaging. In part one of this series, Dr. Benjamin Strong covers ASPECTS scoring, the performance of CT perfusion in imaging and the application of software analytics. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn the essential sequences in perfusion imaging and the specific physiologic/clinical parameter each depicts.
  2. Distinguish between perfusion abnormalities and alterations caused by non-ischemic pathologies such as tumor, seizure, and ICH.
  3. Identify the critical imaging characteristics of salvageable brain tissue in the setting of acute stroke.
