Perfusion Imaging Part 2

Course Overview

This 15-minute radiology CME covers acute stroke and perfusion imaging. Part two of this series focuses on case presentations, specifically cases of ischemic events as visualized on CT perfusion imaging.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn the essential sequences in perfusion imaging and the specific physiologic/clinical parameter each depicts.
2. Distinguish between perfusion abnormalities and alterations caused by non-ischemic pathologies such as tumor, seizure, and ICH.
3. Identify the critical imaging characteristics of salvageable brain tissue in the setting of acute stroke.
