Course Overview

This case-based educational session reviews key imaging findings associated with musculoskeletal abnormalities, including Ewing sarcoma and sacroiliitis. Through clinical examples, participants will explore characteristic radiographic features such as sunburst periostitis, lesion location, bone erosion, and sclerosis. Emphasis is placed on recognizing imaging patterns, distinguishing infectious from inflammatory processes, and developing accurate differential diagnoses.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify characteristic imaging findings of Ewing sarcoma, including periosteal reactions, soft tissue masses, and diaphyseal involvement.
  2. Differentiate infectious sacroiliitis from inflammatory and metabolic conditions based on imaging features and patterns of joint involvement.
  3. Recognize key radiographic findings, including bone erosion, sclerosis, joint space widening, and sequestrum formation, to support accurate diagnosis.
