Course Overview

This 15-minute radiology CME is part one of a two-part series on ankle MRI bone marrow edema patterns. Part two will focus on non-traumatic causes.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe patterns of bone marrow edema on MRI of the ankle associated with trauma.
  2. Increase awareness of common associated traumatic soft tissue injuries that can be associated with traumatic bone contusions
  3. Describe a strategy to help differentiate between traumatic and non-traumatic causes of bone marrow edema in the ankle
