Course Overview

This 15-minute course will review cases that commonly appear on quality assurance committee lists and provide key learning opportunities for radiologists. Led by vRad Associate Director of Quality Assurance, Michael Novick, MD, this session focuses on satisfaction of search misses. 

Learning Objectives

  1. To identify and address patterns of image review that can lead to missed findings.
  2. To encourage radiologists to adhere strictly to their search patterns to avoid misses related to satisfaction of search.
  3. To reinforce the concept that a systematic approach to interpretation is the best way to ensure high accuracy and optimal efficiency.

Audience and Claiming Credit

Dr. Michael Novick is the Associate Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Education, and a practicing radiologist at vRad. Dr. Novick earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his radiology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York and a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at UCLA.
