Course Overview

This 15-minute course will review cases that commonly appear on quality assurance committee lists and provide key learning opportunities for radiologists. Led by vRad Associate Director of Quality Assurance, Michael Novick, MD, this session focuses on acute osteomyelitis. 

Learning Objectives

  1. To recognize the imaging findings of acute pedal osteomyelitis and associated soft tissue abnormalities.
  2. To identify and avoid common pitfalls in interpretation of osteomyelitis cases. 
  3. To improve patient care by ensuring that all radiologists are capable of interpreting examinations to rule out acute osteomyelitis in the emergent setting.

Audience and Claiming Credit
